Hino Trucks brought out their best service technicians from across the country to compete in their seventh annual National Service Skills Competition held at the Suburban Showplace Convention Center in Novi, Michigan.

These Master Elite Technicians, a designation reserved for the highest certified Hino truck technician, competed in varying simulated service-related situations for the chance to be crowned this year’s champion.     The Service Skills Competition and Master Elite status establish and maintain a high standard of performance for Hino technicians nationwide to continue to deliver the highest quality service available today.

After completing one of the industry’s most comprehensive training programs, the technician is ready to tackle this ultimate challenge.

Following elimination rounds and a final day of intense competition, David Taylor from K. Neal International Trucks in Lorton, Virginia came away with the title.

John Musial, Director of Service Operations for Hino Trucks commented, “Our ASE-Certified Master Elite qualifiers have grown from four during the first event in 2009 to over 70 qualifiers for this year’s competition.  For 2015, we are on pace to have over 100 Master Elite technicians.”

A second-time competitor and this year’s champion, David Taylor has been with K. Neal 13 years.
