ITS Logistics has announced that Jamie Lawson has been elevated to the role of Chief Financial Officer. Lawson started at the company in 2014 as Controller before being promoted to Director of Finance, and now to CFO and a position on the executive team.

“Jamie has been instrumental over the past 4 years helping build and develop a first-class accounting department,” says Dan Allen, former CFO and company co-founder. “Under her leadership, we have seen the development of great talent, improved service to our internal and external customers, and the utilization of some great new technology. Jamie has clearly demonstrated her ability to lead ITS in the top finance role.”

Lawson started out in the accounting field after completing her Accounting and Finance degree at Oklahoma Baptist University. She has worked in public accounting for CPA firms in Oklahoma, California and Nevada. Lawson first obtained her CPA license in California, and then in Nevada upon moving back to Reno in 2001. Collectively, she has spent more than 20 years in public accounting and private industry before joining ITS.

When Lawson is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband of 25 years (a hospice chaplain), and with her two children—her oldest of which is attending the University of Nevada, Reno while working in the accounting department at ITS. Lawson also is the teaching leader for the Bible Study Fellowship Reno Evening Women’s class for the last 5 years.
