Millennials

When it comes to vehicles and fleets, many want to know if millennial drivers are really that different.

Let’s go to the data and take a look. According to a recent research report about one-in-five car-owning millennials do not believe cars will be necessary in 20 years.

Here’s what may be at play: 16.57% of car-owning millennials said apps like Uber and Lyft have made them re-think car ownership.

And, it gets even more interesting. While one-third of car-owning millennials view their car as a status symbol, approximately 50% of car-owning millennials would prefer to buy a “green” car over a traditional car.

Finally, this really caught our attention: Nearly 43% of car-owning millennials would give up manually driving a car for a self-driving car.
