Amazon Testing Delivery by Drones, Really
Online retailer Amazon.com reports that it is testing package delivery using drones, the company’s increasingly high-profile CEO Jeff Bezos told the CBS television program “60 Minutes.”
According to Bezos the drones, which are unmanned vehicles that fly through the air, are capable of delivering packages that weigh up to five pounds. As for timing, Bezos said that the drones could be in operation within the next four or five years.
Most drones, of course, are linked to a different type of targeting — military use. Now, Amazon will take the term “marketing targets” to a completely different level.
