Professional technicians perform one of the most demanding and critical roles in trucking

The American Trucking Associations and ATA’s Technology & Maintenance Council announced the beginning of the third annual National Technician Appreciation Week.

“America’s economy moves on trucks, and the men and women in the shop keep those trucks moving,” said ATA President and CEO Chris Spear. “The work that our technicians do is critical to the success of our industry and economy, and we are happy to take this week to recognize their contributions to trucking.”

NTAW provides an opportunity to celebrate the hard work and commitment of professional technicians. Professional technicians perform one of the most demanding and critical roles in trucking. This week will not only acknowledge the extraordinary efforts of these dedicated professionals, but also help attract prospective talent to one of the most in-demand careers in the industry.

“National Technician Appreciation Week provides us an opportunity to highlight the professional technicians that are so indispensable to the industry,” said TMC Executive Director Robert Braswell. “Technicians are invaluable contributors to the trucking industry. For all the work they do, this is a great opportunity for our industry and the general public to show their appreciation and say, ‘Thank you’ to these important individuals and the valuable work they do.”
