Con-way freight has announced that in a union representation election conducted by the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), mechanics at Con-way Freight’s facility in Gary/Hammond, Ind. voted to reject representation by the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Union.

Con-way Freight currently does not have a contract with any union at any of its nearly 300 locations in the U.S.

The company is a leading less-than-truckload (LTL) freight transportation company, providing guaranteed, day-definite regional and transcontinental service through a network of more than 425 service locations serving the United States, Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico.
