Electric Car Charging Comes to New York City

| March 11, 2014

Car Charging GroupBeam Charging, a wholly owned subsidiary of Car Charging Group, Inc. (OTCQB: CCGI) (“CarCharging”), has announced that through its partnership with iPark, electric vehicle (EV) charging services are now available in New York City.

The new charging stations are located at 332-342 East 34th Street and 300 West 55th Street, and can be accessed via the valet attendants.

The EV charging stations for these locations were deployed in association with Beam Charging’s award from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA).

“In order to sustain EV drivers in urban areas like New York City, it is imperative that drivers who do not have access to a dedicated charging station have access to public charging infrastructure,” said Michael D. Farkas, Chief Executive Officer of CarCharging.

Beam Charging utilizes EV charging stations known as Level II, which provide 240 volts with 32 amps of power to quickly recharge an electric vehicle’s battery.
