Electric Vehicle Charging Stations Data to be Part of In-Dash Technology

Recargo, whose flagship product PlugShare provides an extensive listing of public, paid and free electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, has signed and agreement to include its information in VIA Motor’s in-dash electric vehicle application.

Currently, PlugShare lists more than 28,000 plugs in North America, and 55,000 global locations in its database world wide.  According to the companies, “With plug-in electric vehicle sales growing rapidly, EV owners can quickly locate the nearest charge station using the PlugShare website and apps on mobile devices.VIA Motors.”

“Including comprehensive charge station information in VIA’s electric vehicles will help our customers find a charge whenever and wherever they need one, which can improve vehicle efficiency and reduce emissions,” said VIA President, Alan Perriton.

VIA, a leading maker of extended range electric trucks and vans, also plans to unveil its iPad in-Dash electric vehicle control system in the 2014 production vehicles.
