Extended Service Protection for Class 8 Trucks from NTP

| February 3, 2017

National Truck Protection (NTP), a leading North American provider of extended service contracts to the trucking industry, has announced the launch of a new comprehensive product for Class 8 trucks, named “PRIME”.

“PRIME was created to meet the growing demand for a full-featured, all-in-one warranty plan that simplifies the selection process, and at the same time provides great value to our customers,” said Robert Amico, president and CEO of National Truck Protection.

The plan offers comprehensive coverage for Engine, After-treatment, and Transmission and Rear differentials in a single product with multiple term lengths to choose from.

Traditionally, After-treatment, Transmission & Rear Differentials, and advanced component coverage have been offered as separate add-ons to the base engine coverage. However, PRIME bundles these components into a single plan allowing for a comprehensive, all inclusive package that heightens affordability and ease of purchase.

The ATP PRIME plan covers 30 internally lubricated engine components as well as coverage for the ECM (Engine Control Module), Turbocharger(s) Fuel Injectors, Fuel Pump and Water Pump. PRIME offers coverage on 42 separate after-treatment components including BPV, EGR, DEP, DPF, DOC, SCR Doser Injectors/Valves, Sensors, ECU and After-treatment Wiring Harness. To round out the offering, PRIME includes coverage for the Transmission and Rear Differentials as well.

“Changes to the emission systems on heavy-duty diesel trucks have changed the dynamics of the cost of owning and operating these vehicles,” said Amico.

For over 33 years, NTP has provided private label warranties to major OEMs as well as extended service contracts to the used truck segment through its extensive network of corporate and independent dealers.
