Face Recognition and Driver Drowsiness Detection Coming to Fleets

Much will be happening for fleets at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) including new developments in face recognition and driver drowsiness detection.

Consider AllGo Systems, a leading provider of auto infotainment and video analytics, which will be demonstrating face recognition based vehicle personalization and more.

Face recognition based driver detection enables vehicle personalization for uses such as climate control, seat adjustment and favorite music selection.

What’s more, driver control through detection of a registered child behind the wheels can enable safety controls such as speed restriction or mandatory seat belt use. Another use can be driver authentication, which is especially relevant in rental cars.

An interior facing camera can be used for driver drowsiness detection and automatic alert generation that can prevent accidents. Driver state estimation is another application that makes it possible to know if the driver is distracted.
