FedEx Gets Green Light on Acquisition of TNT Express

Delivery giant FedEx has received approval from the European Commission for the planned acquisition of TNT Express.

In terms of scale, TNT Express is one of the world’s largest express delivery companies. On a daily basis it delivers close to one million consignments ranging from documents and parcels to palletized freight.

The company operates road and air transportation networks in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Asia-Pacific and the Americas. TNT Express made €6.7 billion in revenue in 2014.

For its part, FedEx reports annual revenues in the range of $48 billion.
