FedEx Trade Networks Names Jack Muhs President & CEO

Jack MuhsFedEx Trade Networks, the freight forwarding arm of global shipping giant FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX), announced that James R. (Jack) Muhs has been named president and chief executive officer (CEO) of the company.

Muhs has spent nearly 30 years in the international trade industry since beginning his career with FedEx in 1984. He has served in a variety of operations and executive management roles, building an in-depth knowledge of global freight movement and the evolving needs of international shippers.

Prior to joining FedEx Trade Networks, Muhs most recently served as senior vice president of U.S. International, Global Planning, Engineering and Trade Services at FedEx Express, where he was responsible for the company’s U.S. export business, as well as the planning and engineering of the FedEx Express global network.

During his tenure with FedEx, Muhs has supported the company’s global growth strategy by overseeing key strategic areas, including global trade, freight movement, engineering and network planning, operations and customs clearance activities—all of which align with the daily operations and continued development of FedEx Trade Networks.
