Fiat and Chrysler Honor Autoliv with Supplier of the Year Award

Autoliv Inc. (NYSE: ALV and SSE: ALIV sdb) – a worldwide leader in automotive safety systems – was honored with the “Supplier of the Year” prize at the Fiat Chysler award ceremony for suppliers in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) held in Torino, Italy.

At the award ceremony, Sergio Marchionne, CEO of Fiat and Chrysler, presented Autoliv with the award for best performance of all suppliers to the group in EMEA. Autoliv was recognized for “providing best-in-class quality and financial performance, as well as for its ability to serve as a top-performing system supplier for complex safety and restraint applications.”

“We are proud and humbled to have been recognized by Fiat as a winner of their Supplier of the Year award”, said Autoliv’s Vice President Quality and Manufacturing Svante Mogefors who received the award from Mr. Marchionne.

Autoliv currently supplies radar systems, airbags, seatbelts, steering wheels and safety electronics to the Fiat Chrysler group. In 2012, Fiat Chrysler accounted for 7% of Autoliv’s global sales.
