Can the sharing economy move into commercial trucking?

On the Move Systems, Inc. (OTCBB:OMVS) thinks so and is attempting to develop an “Uber for trucking” platform that it expects “to revolutionize the trucking industry.”

Details are few, but the company did announce it has met with a software developer to plan its on-demand services.

On the Move reports that the “emerging roster of trucking partners interested in joining the platform ensures there will be a high number of sharing-economy sources incorporated.”

Noted OMVS CEO Robert Wilson, “Incorporating a number of independent truckers and trucking companies into a sharing-economy platform that is user friendly is a big effort. As we move forward with securing the design, we’re setting our sights on a software developer that can handle the information this platform will require.”
