Freightview®, an online freight management software for small and medium-sized businesses, launched a Google Chrome® app giving customers instant access to quote, book, and track shipments.

In addition to streamlining access to the software, the new Google Chrome app also syncs Freightview across desktop Chrome browsers.

“Our goal is to create a freight booking experience that feels effortless and fits into the way our customers already do business,” said Jason Roberts, Freightview co-founder. “We know a lot of our customers already use Chrome, so making the shipping process even easier by creating an app was a natural next step.”

The app is another example of how vendors are revolutionizing freight transportation by improving communications and streamlining the links between carriers and shippers.

Customers also have access to Freightview’s API and plugins to integrate freight rating, booking and tracking into their website and applications. Freightview is designed for businesses that ship five to 25 less-than-truckload (LTL) shipments per day per location and want to maintain their direct carrier relationships.
