Company’s telematics platform fulfils security requirements set forth by U.S. federal government

Geotab’s telematics platform has achieved FedRAMP Ready status. Building on the company’s reputation as the chosen solution provider for all levels of government, the company’s award-winning telematics platform is now listed on the FedRAMP Marketplace official website.

FedRAMP, the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program, is a government-wide program that provides a standardized approach to security assessment, authorization and continuous monitoring for cloud products and services.

Achieving FedRAMP Ready status is a testament to an organization’s ability to meet stringent security requirements set forth by the U.S. federal government. Companies attaining this status are recognized as utilizing best-in-class security policies and technologies for their cloud and Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions.

“Geotab’s unwavering commitment to rigorous organizational data security measures is reflected in the achievement of our FedRAMP Ready status,” said Geotab CSO, Alan Cawse. “This is the first step towards achieving the nation’s first GSA-sponsored Authority to Operate (ATO) for telematics, making Geotab’s products and services available across the federal fleet”

Geotab is positioned as the trusted telematics leader preferred by state, local and federal government agencies throughout the U.S. Adding to the company’s recent contract-winning portfolio, Geotab announced earlier this year that the General Services Administration (GSA) awarded the company the largest telematics contract in history, right on the heels of the industry leader becoming the first telematics company to receive FIPS 140-2 validation for its cryptographic library.

“Geotab has a long-standing history of providing our customers with solutions that help them better manage their fleet,” added Cawse. “We are proud to provide businesses with a best-in-class telematics offering while ensuring the security, privacy and integrity of our customers over the long term.”
