Halvor Lines Provides All Company Drivers with EpicVue TV Systems
EpicVue, providers of premium in-cab satellite TV packaged for the trucking industry, has announced that in honor of National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, Halvor Lines is outfitting all of its company tractors with EpicVue systems.
“We heard about EpicVue at the Truckload Carriers Association Annual Convention earlier this year and decided to replace the annual raffle we held for drivers during National Truck Driver Appreciation Week with the installation of the in-cab satellite TV systems for all our company drivers,” said Ryan Fraley, vice president of Halvor Lines. “We like to invest in the happiness of our drivers since they show such dedication to Halvor Lines. They deserve the best, and as long as our drivers are satisfied, so are we.”
Halvor Lines began announcing the decision to equip over 300 company tractors with EpicVue at the beginning of National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, which runs from September 13-19, 2015, by having dispatchers provide drivers with HBO headphones and a “Thank You” card telling them their satellite TV systems are going to be installed by the carrier’s staff.
Halvor Lines, headquartered in Superior, Wisconsin, provides transportation and logistics services across United States and Canada. The carrier operates 360 power units and over 850 trailers hauling flatbed, dry van, decked van loads, and refrigerated services.
“National Truck Driver Appreciation Week is a way to honor all professional truck drivers for their hard work and commitment in tackling one of our economy’s most demanding and important jobs,” said Lance Platt, CEO of EpicVue. “We fully support the decision by Halvor Lines to provide EpicVue in-cab satellite TV in company trucks because we agree that drivers deserve as much of the comfort of home as they can provide on the road.”
EpicVue in-cab satellite TV systems, including an antenna, DVR and 24-inch flat screen TV, is offered for fleets with 20 or more vehicles for $49 per month under a five-year contract, or $59 monthly for a three-year contract.
