HUBB Filters has announced the appointment of Scott Son as the company’s chief financial officer (CFO).

Son has more than 30 years of professional experience that includes leadership and C-level finance roles over the past 12 years in the clean tech and renewable energy industries with Sunverge Energy, NRG Energy and Suntech.

Son’s diverse career includes work in capital markets, finance, private equity and M&A with companies such as GE Capital, Platinum Equity and BMO Capital. Early in his career, Son earned the certified public accountant (CPA) designation where he worked in accounting and as an auditor.

Son received his BBA in accounting from Andrews University in 1988 and his MBA in economics and finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 1998.

The HUBB solution, as the company touts, “is a significant improvement over old technology, and its performance is backed by the industry’s first 100,000-mile or 5,000-hour guarantee.” Fleet field results collected by HUBB along with independent oil analysis demonstrate that HUBB can save a typical fleet up to 50 percent on their preventive maintenance spend.
