John Jasper Named President and COO at Abalta Technologies

Abalta Technologies, Inc., an emerging leader in the internet of car technologies, has announced that John Jasper is joining the company as President and Chief Operating Officer effective immediately.

Jasper has over 30 years working in, or leading, technology businesses in emerging market sectors. He has deep experience in navigation, telecommunications, retail technology and mobile.

He started his career 30 years ago as a software engineer in the cellular industry where he was involved in the first launches of cellular service in the US. He then moved on to build big data platforms for major corporations before joining Navteq/Here where he ultimately became CTO/VP Software.

Jasper’s career also includes posts at Digital Globe and SEI.

In 2009, Mr. Jasper launched a cloud telephony business which he sold to a leading CRM company in 2012. He has since been consulting with a leading marketing agency in Chicago to launch a new business to provide technology enabled mobile marketing services.

He holds an MBA from University of Chicago Booth School of Business and is a co-inventor on over 20 patents.
