Crane

If you’re looking for your next transportation challenge, consider what Next Exit Logistics took on when it was assigned the task of shipping a 100-ton Manitowoc crane during an ice storm Kronos in Houston, Texas.

The goal was to safely load the crane and ship it to Virginia — despite the weather conditions.

How did they load the crane? Well, luckily it was already disassembled for transport. And due to the size of the crane, Next Exit Logistics had to use five trucks for the shipment.

The crane was loaded safe and secure and each part made it to its destination on time and under budget. Here are some key stats and a happy ending:

  • Manitowoc Crane – 209,940 lbs
  • 5 day lead time
  • 5 separate trucks
  • 2 winter storms
  • Shipped on time and under budget
