The bus, which was on the road in support of Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation, will make its final stop on Wednesday in Chicago at the Navy Pier, the day before Gaga’s birthday. It marks the end of its five-date post-tour run, having already made stops in Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., and Gaga’s hometown of New York City.

Before she was sidelined, Gaga hoped to promote youth empowerment, “kindness” and “bravery,” and she provided mental health assistance on the bus. And VH1 got an inside peek at the vehicle from someone very important to the singer, her mom, Cynthia Germanotta.

Born Brave“This is a wonderful, mobile youth experience where they can come to connect to their society,” Germanotta, who also serves at the president of the Born This Way Foundation, said. “This side of the bus we have different kiosks where they can learn about the foundation, about our partners and the services that they offer and also we have an amazing map where they can learn about organizations in their communities.”

Gaga launched the Born Brave Bus at her U.S. tour kick off back in January in Tacoma, Washington. The Foundation partnered with community organizations like Campus Pride, GLSEN, the National Association of School Psychologists and Youth Service America. Viacom (MTV’s parent) is serving as the foundation’s lead media partner as part of the campaign.

“This is what will last beyond hit songs and awesome shows,” Breedlove, a Born Brave Bus ambassador said of the jaunt.

“You get rewarded for being strong and believing in who you are,” Gaga’s longtime pal Lady Starlight added about getting the chance to spread Gaga’s message of love of acceptance on the bus. “You win, at the end of the day. We won. We won.”
