MAC Tools Smart Phone APP Delivers Real-time Diagnostics
Plugged-in mechanics looking for a quick, handy way to source vocabulary definitions of diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) that cause a vehicle’s check engine light to illuminate now have a new tool.
The new Mac Tools OBD II TaskMobile Lite smartphone application is free and available for iPhone®, iPad® and Android® devices.
“It’s difficult to remember more than 5,000 diagnostic trouble codes,” said Paul Zarlengo, Mac Tools product manager for diagnostics. “The TaskMobile Lite will provide mechanics a dictionary of diagnostic trouble codes in the palm of their hands and enable pros to get the job done faster and more efficiently.”Easy to use, a mechanic simply must enter the numerical code provided from their diagnostic scanner and hit “Check Code.” In an instant, the code definition will be retrieved. In addition, the application keeps a running DTC history of all entered codes for translation.
