Maxion Wheels Debuts Forged Aluminum Truck Wheels for North American HD Aftermarket
Maxion Wheels, the world’s largest wheel manufacturer, announced that it is expanding its North American Commercial Vehicle (CV) product offering with the addition of a forged aluminum truck wheel product line.
Noted Donald Polk, President of Maxion Wheels, Americas, “By adding forged aluminum to our product mix, our steel wheel commercial vehicle customers now have a one-stop alternative for their wheel needs. Our forged aluminum truck wheels are built for today’s toughest road conditions.”
Maxion Wheels developed the forged aluminum CV four wheel product line in response to the market’s growing need for lighter vehicles as a means of reducing fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. The new 22.5×8.25 aluminum CV wheel weighs 45 lbs.
The four wheels will be available in the industry’s most popular sizes:
- 5×8.25
- 5×8.25
- 5×6.75
- 5×14.00
A bright machined finish is standard, and polishing is also available.
Fleets operating in North America will be able to purchase the new wheels through aftermarket channels beginning in the spring with the initial rollout of the 22.5×8.25. A standard five-year limited warranty is included.
