Michael Baker Joins SmartDrive as Vice President of Worldwide Sales

SmartDrive Systems, a leader in driving performance solutions that reduce collisions and improve fuel efficiency, has announced that Michael “Mike” Baker has joined its management team as Vice President of Worldwide Sales.  Baker is a telematics sales veteran with a proven track record of success in leading growth focused sales teams.

Michael BakerMr. Baker brings 20 years of experience in the technology, trucking and construction industries to SmartDrive.  Baker will focus on developing customer acquisition and retention strategies, building and motivating high performance teams, and creating a global go-to-market sales organization..

Prior to SmartDrive, Baker led successful teams at Navman Wireless, Qualcomm Omnitracs and HighwayMaster.  Baker has also held successful sales leadership roles with Saunders Cash Control, Trendar and Fleet Control Services American Express. He served in both the Tennessee Army National Guard and the United States Marine Corps Reserve and earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin.
