| February 3, 2014

MitsubishiMitsubishi Motors North America (MMNA) has reported January sales of 4,867, up 4.5 percent compared to January 2013.

Mitsubishi’s Outlander and Outlander Sport, “American’s Safest CUV Line-up,” led the way.  The U.S.-built Outlander Sport achieved an increase of 36.1 percent for the month compared to prior year sales.  Outlander did even better, with a 53.5 percent increase.

The all-new Mitsubishi Mirage had 1,170 units sold in the vehicle’s third full month of sales.  Mirage was recently named to the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy’s prestigious “Greenest Vehicles” list for the 2014 model year.

“This marked MMNA’s best January sales since 2011,” said MMNA President & CEO Yoichi Yokozawa. “We’re pleased at the efforts of our sales team and our dealer partners in overcoming some weather obstacles to get the year off on the right foot.”
