Navistar’s IC Bus in Deal for 300 School Buses for Columbus, OH

IC Bus has announced it won a bid to deliver 300 CE Series school buses to Columbus City Schools in Columbus, Ohio. IC Bus will deliver the buses through its IC Bus dealer, Rush Bus Centers, in Columbus, Ohio.

The CE Series buses for Columbus City Schools will be powered by MaxxForce® 7 engines and seat 65 passengers. The buses’ 16-gauge steel side sheets and 19,800-lb. rear axle with a 21,000-lb. air ride suspension improve safety while providing drivers with a smooth ride.

The buses will be built at the IC Bus assembly plant in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Deliveries will begin in July 2013.
