New Kinedyne Demo Truck Shows Customers How to Optimize Trailers to Mitigate Driver and Equipment Shortages

Demo truck features Kinedyne double-decking and curtainside systems

For more than 50 years, Kinedyne has provided the straps, winches and other cargo securement equipment fleets and operators need to keep their loads safe and secure. But as trucking has evolved, so has Kinedyne’s product offering. Now the company is rolling out its new demo truck to showcase its core products and a selection of optimization products that increase usable trailer space and speed loading/unloading to deliver maximum efficiency, profitability and driver safety.

“Fleets today are facing shortages of both drivers and trailers,” explains Roger Perlstein, vice president – sales and marketing. “Kinedyne curtainside and double-decking products help carriers overcome these challenges by increasing load capacity and improving speed and accessibility to cargo to enable more throughput in less time with fewer driver injuries. Our new demo truck allows our team to demonstrate these technologies in person to customers across North America.”

The demo truck is upfitted with a Kinedyne Kin-Sider trailer curtain system on one side and Kin-Slider on the other. Both are custom printed with bold graphics highlighting product benefits. Kinedyne’s Kin-Sider and Kin-Slider curtainside products provide easier access to cargo from anywhere on the trailer, enable cross-docking, eliminate tarping or heavy roll-up doors, and facilitate loading and unloading from ground level with a forklift. The real impact to the fleet is there’s no longer a need to climb onto the truck to access cargo. Kin-Slider, a curtainside with a  smooth sliding door with single-point release, increases efficiency even further. Kin-Slider is up to 10 times faster to use than traditional curtainside systems, which means a truck equipped with Kin-Slider can make more stops in a day or a fleet can use fewer trucks and drivers to make the same number of deliveries. The truck also features information about the new Kold-Front Refrigerated Curtain System.

Inside the truck, Kinedyne has installed its Kaptive Beam K1 and K2 double-decking systems. These systems double the capacity of a dry van or box truck, making it possible to securely carry up to twice as much freight with less equipment and fewer drivers, for significant bottom-line savings.

Customers visiting the Kinedyne Demo Truck also get a sneak preview of an upcoming product that offers a revolutionary way to safely secure cargo in a curtainside vehicle and help reduce worker injuries.
