North Carolina County Turns to Asset Management from Chevin Fleet Solutions
Chevin Fleet Solutions, a leading provider of web-based, enterprise-level fleet and asset management software, has announced that Wake County has implemented its FleetWave® solution to manage a fleet of 1,300 assets, including about 200 pieces of equipment used by municipal departments.
By way of background, Wake County encompasses 12 municipalities including the state capitol in Raleigh and is the second most populated county in the state of North Carolina with approximately 1 million residents.
Wake County’s Fleet Services Division provides asset management, fleet service and fuel management services for vehicles and equipment utilized by county employees daily.
To increase the effectiveness of its fleet operation, Wake County is converting to the Chevin software to help manage maintenance, track vehicles and drivers, improve usage and invoicing, streamline the refueling process, and pool vehicles or equipment.
There is a lot at stake: FleetWave® will also be working in tandem with several third-party systems, including vehicle telematics solutions to provided a secure log-in so remote users can view information using a customer portal.
