Velodyne LiDAR Names Robert Brown CFO

3D leader for autonomous vehicles, LiDAR Inc., has announced that Robert (Bob) Brown has joined the company as its Chief Financial Officer, reporting to founder and CEO David Hall.

“As we scale to production at our Megafactory, we’re on-track to produce LiDAR sensors in the millions. Bob will help us build a world-class financial organization parallel to that current pace of growth and we’re delighted to have a professional of his caliber join our executive team,” said David Hall, Founder and CEO, Velodyne LiDAR.

Brown joins Velodyne LiDAR from VeriSilicon Holdings Co., where he served as the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President. Over the course of his career, he has played a key role in M&A transactions and financings valued at over $20 billion. Brown has held senior financial and business development roles at LSI Corporation and Cadence Design Systems, as well as various finance roles at Hewlett-Packard. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Miami University and his MBA from the University of Michigan.
