Omnitracs has renamed its FleetRisk Advisors business unit to Omnitracs Analytics, and announced the promotion of Dean Croke to vice president of that business unit.

The company noted that the “new business name, Omnitracs Analytics, more accurately describes the business unit’s core mission of developing a broad set of analytics offerings.”

In terms of Croke, he brings more than 30 years of experience in risk management and operations positions within the insurance and trucking industries to his new post.

Prior to joining Omnitracs Analytics in 2005, Croke held roles at Circadian Technologies, a research and consulting firm specializing in driver fatigue, scheduling and shiftwork management, and Lancer Insurance Company, a New York-based commercial insurance product leader in bus, motor coach, limo and truck insuranc.

Born into a family trucking business, Croke has more than 2 million driving miles under his belt and continues to be an avid truck driver.
