On the Move Systems (OMVS) is eyeing an acquisition of a trucking firm, an acquisition that, if completed, would enable the company to expand its revenue base beyond its shared economy platform and courier service, both currently under development.

Noted OMVS CEO Robert Wilson, “It’s a great way to grow the company and build shareholder value. We’ve found several potential opportunities well suited to begin operations and are conducting preliminary due diligence on one of them now.”
He added, “With freight contacts made during our shared economy platform development, we believe we can quickly hit the road and generate a new, diverse revenue stream in a short time.”

The American Trucking Associations’ (ATA) U.S. Freight Transportation Forecast projects freight volumes will jump nearly 29 percent by 2026.

OMVS also observed that “other recent studies are forecasting a coming shipping capacity shortage that could spell opportunity for new entrants into the trucking industry.”
