Red Dot Corporation Appoints Rick McNamee as Permanent CEO

Red Dot Corporation, a leader in heating and air conditioning for commercial and military vehicles, has appointed Rick McNamee as permanent chief executive officer. McNamee first joined Red Dot in May 2016 as interim CEO and also holds a seat on the company’s board of directors.

In addition, the company named Steve Lach as chief operating officer and Artak Arakelian as vice president of operations.

Together, the leadership team will focus on further expanding Red Dot’s market-leading innovation in HVAC systems and its partnerships with major original equipment manufacturers.

McNamee brings to Red Dot leadership experience, having successfully steered both public and private companies. He has served as CEO, president and chairman of the board at Continental Circuits Corporation.

McNamee has also spent 14 years at IBM, serving in a variety of manufacturing and engineering roles. He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Purdue University.

Red Dot is also creating a new COO position, with Lach serving in that role and overseeing the operations department and reporting directly to the CEO. Lach previously served as Red Dot’s temporary vice president of operations and led operations within companies including AT&T, Sanmina and Viasystems.

Red Dot designs and builds premium climate control components, integrated systems, replacement parts, and aftermarket units for vehicles in demanding work environments all over the world. Product applications include construction, mining, agriculture, forestry, military, commercial freight, and emergency service vehicles.

Based in Seattle, Red Dot has more than 400 employees in the United States, Europe, and China, and more than 175 aftermarket distributor locations in North America.
