| June 25, 2014

MRAPRosco, Inc., noted for automotive vision safety industry, has announces the award of a multi-million dollar, multi-year awarded contract from the Federal Government’s Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) for the manufacture of mirror systems for the MRAP-ATV (MATV) military vehicle.

The award, as issued through Defense Distribution Depot Columbus (DSCC), is, according to Rosco, “crucial to the proper operation, safety and maintenance of many thousands of existing MATV vehicles operated by the U.S. armed forces.”

The new MATV mirror system features a specialized version of Rosco’s patented High Definition® (HD) mirror for front bumper and corner viewing of threats and targets around the MRAP vehicle.

“This unique HD mirror is important to the driving soldier for maneuvering the vehicle safely, but is even more important to the entire crew of the vehicle to ensure that threats can’t approach or lurk in the vehicle’s blind spots,” says Peter Plate, Director of Sales & Marketing for Rosco.

The High Definition mirror modified for the military market, has proven to be a superior use of commercially developed mirror lens technology that yields defined, clear, and amplified images for the safety of the U.S. soldier.
