Supply Chain Solutions Acquires International Freight Forwarder Vanik International
Supply Chain Solutions, a Grand Rapids, Michigan-based global transportation, logistics and supply chain management and improvement group that serves clients nationally and internationally, announced it has acquired Vanik International, Inc. a Westmont, Illinois-based international freight forwarder. Terms were not disclosed.
Vanik International, Inc. is run by Vandana Bahl, who founded the company in 1994. “As we expand our offerings and grow our company, Vanik provides a key service for SCS customers,” says Les Brand, CEO, Supply Chain Solutions. “Vanik has tremendous export market expertise and deep relationships with custom houses around the globe, and will help us open new markets for our clients.”
According to Bahl, Vanik International, Inc. handles project cargo, oversize vehicle exports, temperature-controlled container shipments, letter of credit and direct collection letter shipments for a variety of clients, from food companies to heavy equipment manufacturers.
