Truck Accessories Provider Rugged Liner Taps BigRoad for ELD Compliance Solution

Rugged Liner, a manufacturer and distributor of truck accessories, has chosen BigRoad – A Fleet Complete Company’s DashLink ELD to achieve electronic logging device (ELD) mandate compliance.

A key factor in its decision was how easy, the company notes, BigRoad’s solution is to use. “BigRoad’s DashLink ELD has streamlined compliance by automatically recording events that drivers usually enter manually,” noted Jim McKay, Safety Manager at Rugged Liner. “Plus, my drivers quickly learned how to use the system because they were already familiar with the BigRoad Mobile App.”

As the Safety Manager of a small fleet, Jim wears many hats. He supervises the team and drives his own truck, leaving him with little time to deal with complicated compliance solutions. Jim found the free BigRoad Mobile App, tested it out himself, and was impressed with how simple it made hours-of-service (HOS) compliance. Jim quickly purchased the BigRoad Web App, which allowed him to look at any driver, at any time, and see their logs, location, and progress – freeing up the time for him to drive his own truck and keep his own logs clean.

Here’s what makes the approach quick to implement: The plug-and-play solution was easy to use: drivers simply plugged the DashLink ELD into the ECM of their vehicle and paired with the BigRoad Mobile App via Bluetooth.

“My drivers don’t like change,” Jim explained. “But BigRoad won them over! The team was initially skeptical about adopting eLogs and connected logging, but they instantly loved BigRoad’s solutions because it was so user-friendly.”

“We designed our products with the driver in mind. It’s the reason why over 30,000 fleets have chosen BigRoad as their compliance partner,” added Jake McGuire, Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success. “Our priority is to ensure that our DashLink ELD makes drivers’ lives easier, not more complicated. We’ve created a product that customers love to use.”
