WEX Continues Payment System Growth in Canada 

WEX Inc. (NYSE: WEX), a leading global provider of corporate payment solutions, is expanding its presence in Canada with a partnership with Moneris Solutions Corporation, Canada’s largest processor of debit and credit payments.

The partnership will allow petroleum-based businesses to accept WEX fleet cards using Moneris’ PetroTrak^® point-of-sale (POS) and fleet management solution.

The PetroTrak^® host certification provides national merchants with a comprehensive fleet management solution to process WEX Fleet Cards, as well as commercial, credit and debit card payments. To streamline reconciliation for merchants, the PetroTrak^® application captures WEX Fleet Card payments in its transaction activity reports and Universal Settlement Files. Moneris is the first acquirer in Canada with a direct host connection to WEX.

Moneris is the largest credit and debit card processor and acquirer in Canada, processing more than 3 billion transactions each year for more than 350,000 merchant locations.
