Michelin is proud to continue to contribute in some small way to the tremendous progress Women in Trucking is driving

The Women In Trucking Association (WIT) announced today that Michelin North America, Inc. has renewed its Gold Level Partnership, helping the nonprofit association increase the number of women employed in the industry.

In addition to providing financial support, the company actively participates in the association. Adam Murphy, vice president, Business-to-Business Marketing, serves on the WIT board of directors.

“Michelin is proud to continue to contribute in some small way to the tremendous progress Women in Trucking is driving in advancing women’s contribution to the Trucking industry. We share WIT’s passion for this very important mission, and we are excited to continue our partnership together.”

“Women make a positive impact on transportation. We are grateful for business leaders like Michelin who recognize this and allow us to keep working toward our mission,” said Ellen Voie, WIT president and CEO. “With their support, we’ll keep pushing the envelope for women in the industry.”

WIT has made great strides in advancing gender diversity in transportation and logistics. A few recent accomplishments include the record attendance at the association’s annual Accelerate! Conference & Expo, a weekly SiriusXM radio show called Women In Trucking, the creation of a Canadian Image Team, and a new trucker doll, Clare, who encourages girls to consider a career in transportation.
