FedEx: Teamsters Withdraw from PA Location

FedEx Freight, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp (NYSE: FDX), has announced that the Teamsters union has withdrawn an election petition at the FedEx Freight service center in Pocono Summit, PA.

According to FedEx, “The union would only take this action if it recognized that it would lose. This marks the fifth election in a row, and seven out of the last eight, where the union has either withdrawn the petition or lost the vote.”

To date, FedEx Freight drivers have voted against the union in Louisville, KY, Delanco, NJ, and Newark, NJ. In addition, the union has withdrawn petitions before the scheduled elections in Middletown, PA, South Newark, NJ, Richmond, VA, Nashville, TN, and Pocono Summit, PA.
