New Generation of Security Cameras for Fleets From AmeriCam

| December 19, 2013

AmeriCamSilicon Valley-based camera technology manufacturer AmeriCam Automotive Cameras has introduced a new generation of security camera recording systems for fleets.

Unlike standard windshield mounted cameras that only record events in front of the vehicle, the chassis-mounted TradeCraft camera systems provide a comprehensive recording system with up to four internal and external cameras.

External cameras can be mounted at the front, back and sides of vehicles to protect drivers and fleet owners against staged accident insurance fraud and theft and to provide drivers with greater overall visibility in their blind spots. Internal cameras can be located in the vehicle’s cab to monitor driver behavior or in the back of the vehicle to monitor stock.

The TradeCraft systems record between 64 and 2000 hours of high-quality video and are one of the only systems on the market to include a lock to prevent theft of recorded evidence.

Optional features include:

  • G-sensors that automatically lock incident file
  • GPS utilizing Google Maps
  • 3G connectivity that transmits a live feed from vehicle cameras to any computer with internet access
  • Wi-Fi for automatically uploading video files once the vehicle returns to the garage
